Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe and Sane on the wings and Gabriel Jesus up top. MSG is the MSN of the future. Obviously he's not an immediate need but if we get our work done with the back line and have money left, why the hell not?

You do wonder just how much some posters actually know about football
Completely off topic but that line up was hardly their u18's - the back 5 were schmeical, pallister, Parker, Irwin and the youngster Gary Neville.

I may be wrong in this but I still feel that Sanchez is the better answer over Mbappe at the moment.

I just think with Sanchez he offers proven tried and tested experienced top quality, which at the moment only Aguero offers.

Mbappe is class but would we have too much youth being relied upon next season?

If we can't get Sanchez however I am hoping we are in for Mbappe.
If we don't get Mbappe now we never will.

Sanchez and Aguero can play together imo because Sanchez plays deep. To equate it to Chile Aguero would be like Vargas.

But imo Mbappe is like another Vargas. As is Jesus.

So imo if we only get Sanchez then we are keeping Aguero but if we get Sanchez and Mbappe then we must have already agreed to sell Aguero.

(PS if we could just find a Vidal equivalent we'd be amazing)

Just dont see it but only because we have Jesus but like most, would salivate if we did land this kid because he is top drawer.

Madrid would seem favourite though.

Mbappe all day long before Sanchez.

Sanchez is 29, coming into a World Cup year, and playing for his country is No1 to him.

By the start of next season he will be completely knackered, he is a wonderful player, but a very short term signing.

Mbappe is long term, even if he wants to go to Madrid later in his career, his value is only going to escalate.

I agree with this, its now or never. I hope we are throwing everything at this one. For me this has the potential to propell us into the absolute top level of world football. Still cant see it happening though. :(

Likewise. I don't think many City fans believe it will happen. Would be our most significant transfer setting aside the transfer fee. I am surprised that the usual suspects of Man Utd and Chelsea aren't linked. CFC need a striker. Utd needed one, and yet neither been a serious player. Do they also think Real Madrid got this sown up?

My only hope is that if it was really done and dusted to Madrid, would pep be doing what he can to convince him to come here?

Mbappe would be part of the best young forward line in the world, Sane-Mbappe-Jesus. (Average age 19.7)

I still think that Sanchez's work-rate would really benefit our pressing play. I also rekon Sanchez can also play anywhere in a midfield or front three which is perfect for different formations and rotation.

Lets hope Sanchez walks down his contract for a nice free next season while we try and bag Mbappe now.

My opinion, & it is only my opinion, I think City have got wind Sanchez is doubting a move. I think he was all for it & now has had his ear chewed by Arsenal & is expected to stay put... This has prompted City (not wanting another Alves situation) to go all out, balls deep for Mbappe this window. Get him & we can publicly say we pulled out of the Sanchez pursuit rather than the headlines "City snubbed again".

Pep Guardiola's dinner with Kylian Mbappé, unveiled by L'Equipe, was not a simple courtesy. Sky Sports says that Manchester City is determined to hire a footballer who also play Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain, and to a lesser extent Arsenal and Liverpool.

The City is trying to convince the footballer's environment that in no other club in the world could progress both in his game and under the umbrella of Guardiola, which is credited with extensive experience in managing the career of young players.

L'Equipe already pointed out that PSG had taken some advantage after the meeting of their coach, Unai Emery, with the father of the footballer, but at the same time already placed the City on the starting line in the fight for the player.

The City can offer to Mbappé, besides the solvency of the trainer, a great salary and a strongly reinforced equipment. As far as the market has already incorporated Bernardo Silva (Monaco, 50 million euros), Ederson (40, Benfica) and Douglas Luiz (12, Vasco da Gama).

In addition, the City has capacity to pay the more than 100 million euros in which the player's price will move.

The City closed last season in white and now addresses a deep remodeling of the team to recover the lost ground in the Premier and in Europe.
