Whatever City game I've been to, and I've been to over a thousand, my first thought, always, as the teams kicked off was this: I want us to win. Always. Amen to that.Whilst appreciating the depth of emotion in your well intentioned sentiment, things have changed beyond any comprehension and I for one have embraced this complete sea change in the fortunes, culture and expectations of my club, Manchester City FC.
We stood behind the shop of the master butcher for decades waiting for scraps from his cutting board. I don't miss that and never will.
We are now longer window shopping in the basement at Kendalls looking as suits we cant afford ( I know there are no windows in the basement...)

Winning is great, I started going in the mid eighties as a 7 year old and spent my first three decades seeing us go from one shite season to another whilst utd won the lot.
