It's irrelevant what the media are saying, FIFA can't intervene unless Monaco officially make a formal complaint & name the team. Until that happens it's all conjecture & hearsay by the papers. Yes it's happened but in my opinion Monaco have been clever here by making a vailed threat. No need for them to kick up a fuss when they can do what they've done & released a statement. I think it's also a warning concerning Mendy, pay what they think he's worth or they'll make it awkward... We should start being like this & stop letting teams see we're desperate to sell & screw us on fees.
