How is it awkward? Was just a joke as it's another player who I first learnt about because he became really good in FIFA just like Gabriel Jesus.

Edit: I looked back and can understand how you may have viewed it as me having a go at the scouting system as it is just "another player good on video games" but it wasn't. I'd never seen Mbappe or Gabriel Jesus play but I always signed them on FIFA as they became good so made that joke.

The only negative I can see coming of it is that the papers write about how we were beat to the signing of Mbappe by Madrid, which is what they would've done anyway. To get beat to a signing by Madrid is no bad thing

Exactly. If he's the chairman, surely the Interview is rehearsed and edited etc. There's no way he's been blind sided by an in-house interviewer.
