Really, it is amazing how many times you hear the words I'd rather play in London than Manchester etc from foreign footballers, surely with all their cash they could visit London any old time they want, I mean it really is that close, nearly the same country as the rest of the UK.

If it was up to me I would be off to Spain in a heartbeat, I am truly sick of the rain, I can only imagine how a player from a hot country would feel after 3 months of Manchester drizzle.

If what you say is true (Players would rather play in London)...i would expect to see more world class players in London... I don't see a big gulf in quality between players at the top 3 or 4 clubs in London and players at the top 3 or 4 clubs in the North West

Players don't sign for clubs in the N W of England because the weather is good
I would be surprised if players didn't have any idea about the weather in the North West of England/Manchester...It's obviously not a deal breaker for most or they wouldn't sign for us or stay (Silva/Kun/Yaya)..i am sure they would like better weather but as i said in a previous post it's not top of their list of priorities (Manager/financial package/team mates-opportunity for success/nice house or apartment to live in/training facilities)

Let's strip out the bollox.

Like it or not (and few will) but Mcr and Cheshire start with a huge disadvantage against Madrid, Barcelona and Munich. Environment, climate, culture, barms... you name it.

Second, we will be viewed by many as nouveau riche, with fcuk all track record in the CL and who can't string two domestic league titles together.

So what we can offer is £££ plus Pep plus optimism. That will swing some but not all.
