Kylian Mbappe

Even though I consider Sanchez to be one of the best five players in the league, I personally would prefer Mbappe. He would be devastating in the premier league, especially playing alongside the likes of D Silva, B Silva and De Bruyne.

Sanchez would be best for winning the league this year, Mbappe would be best for long-term world domination.

I go back and forth because I don't want to sell Aguero this summer which I suspect would happen if we signed Mbappe.

Me too... But it's now or never IMO. My biggest question is whether he will be the player everyone thinks.

We need 3 forwards for the long season ahead, 2 would be lunacy

As good, great even, Kun, Merlin and Yaya are, the is something different about potentially one of the biggest names in the world choosing City over any other club. Especially a young one. If Messi, Bale or Ronaldo (good forbid) came to City at this point in their careers, sceptics would say it was for one last big payday. If Mbappe came, it would send a massive signal: the balance of power in football will have shifted.

And ok, we would still need to win league titles and CL. But it would be huge.

Shouldn't we be spending 100m on a mediocre fullback? That's what the media really wants.

So, all the transfer threads...

I think his point is that Foden and Diaz are unlikely to be given as much game time as Mbappe got last season as the pressure on us is much higher than was on Monaco, he's had a season and half to develop without the expectations that come with being here in our current guise. Ideally we'd throw Diaz and Foden in for a few minutes at a time this season, them play more regularly next, something Mbappe was able to do last season and the previous one. Also he's a much bigger physical specimen than the two lads here so he's got an advantage over them in that regard, similar to when Shrek started out.

Messi played 75 minutes in the season he was 17 and got his first start at 18 and 2 months. No 17 years player is getting through at any decent club with aspirations to win the big trophies, it's just not normal. You're not legally majority at 17 in most of the world, you won't play any decent time with big boys at big club too. Period.

I'm not even mad if these two make some games, they look good, but it's same pissing contest with each youngster we have. Many of them caused same things - give them time, they're top, yet they all went and many of them disappeared in some small nobody clubs. Guess I sound arrogant but I'm not, different levels of clubs and players exist. Lopes for ex. people were seriously saying he should be Silva's replacement, went to Monaco causing hysteria from some people here, and they are sending him on loans 3 years. Bit sick of people who can't handle rags media pressure about little citeh not giving their youth a chance. If they are good enough to get some games, they'll get it. If they are not, we won't wait too much for them. It's completely different story when you are looking for big prizes than when your whole business model is to produce young players and sell them without any pressure to win anything.
