I don't know what it is over there. But if Mbappe thought his chances of first team football were better served at Monaco than Madrid, he'd likely stayed there rather than go somewhere he is very unlikely to get through (a concept many City fans are still struggling to come to terms with, irrespective that Sancho could maybe be leaving).

So his past decisions are not really a factor imo, it's what happens next.

Madrid might not bid at the price though, nor City for that matter.
