Madrid don't want him now "this summer". Barca are all in for Dembele and Coutinho. Monaco won't sell to PSG...and he's apparently leaving this summer for sporting reasons.

Nike all but getting him to the ground aswell...Is it time to start believing this could be on? Now or Never imo.

We as fans will support our team through thick and thin and have seen the attendance figures in the dim and distant past misrepresented by various owners for whatever financial purpose. We assume our cash was shall we say misdirected.

Not all of us earn our living within the accountancy sector so perhaps somebody could help us understand the terminology that allows our Business Plan to develop within the framework of a set of rules that appear to prevent unlimited investment yet allow unlimited debt.
As far as amortisation goes it is fairly simple.
If you buy something for £1000 and keep it and it retains its value is it would cost the same or you could sell it for the same there is no profit or loss.
Most things deteriorate over time including footballers on contracts.
Amortisation is just a way of reflecting that, so the purchasing cost is generally spread over the length of the contract.
Over five years the footballers value is written down by 20% each year

Ta mate, so the players value does not depreciate to nothing over the contract period just the way in which we are allowed to account for the purchase.
We effectively get nothing for the player at the end of that period so we are better selling with time to go on a contract or is that a different thing.

Pogba did something simlar with Griesmann & it turned out that was because the rags were bidding for him (he preferred football).

Now Mbappe is mysteriously here, Silva says this & Monaco openly talking about him possibly leaving. It does appear as if we are trying to get him to say 'yes' to signing, perhaps even with Monaco's permission.

There's no doubt that City are trying to get Mbappe: the press pack that were on tour with City know that City have spoken to Monaco and that Pep has met Mbappe, although I suspect that City didn't want that to be public knowledge and that it why Tolmie was referring to Soriano being unhappy with them.

If we got him then we'd have a forward line to terrorise Europe for years to come.

Sane (21)
Sterling (22)
Jesus (20)
Bernardo (23)

No, it depreciates to nothing over the life of the contract in the accounts but just the accounts.
