I'm going to start posting in Newfie in a minute.
I'm not trying to convince you of anything, only sharing information.
One would think the Harsh Lesson was that PSG can't defend for shite and bottle a 5-1 lead so defenders may have been a good idea.
I'm not saying I would not have liked Mbarmy here, of course I would.
But ss you say, it makes no sense from a footballing perspective giving the imbalance in their team and the fact that with Neymar and MBarmy signed up, that's their transferred fucked up for the next 3 or 4 windows. They might walk the French league, but will get reamed against the top European sides that can defend well, and then hit hard on the counter attack.
It smacks of Qatar running the football, not the manager. And Qatar wanting to strut their stuff for political reasons more than anything else, even to the detriment of PSG as a team.
In contrast to our club, which is a model business, professionally and sensibly run and which will make the right decisions and the right investments in the best long term interests of the club - not some quick PR stunt.
Keita to replace Yaya next summerI think I'd rather spend the 150-200 million on a central defensive midfielder and a centre back, this or next summer. I hope we get Sanchez as a precondition as we do need an additional attacking player. IMO we need a Busqets type of player in our squad. The closest we have is Fernandinho. Yaya is not this type of player, nor is Gündogan.
Would be very happy if you are right. We would still need to replace Fernandinho. We need our Busquets/Casemiro.Keita to replace Yaya next summer
Monaco wants to secure a replacement(Dolberg) before Mbappe's move is announced to avoid the situation Barca is in:
This is for J_MCFC21, so we can establish the source has some level of fredibility, but on August 10th PU tweets that PSG will publicly deny any contacts between they and Monaco for Mbappe to protect negotiations:
Not long after they report the details of his contract, a progressive salary starting at 850k euros per month:

An official report that Mbappe will join PSG before the end of the window:
Before the Neymar move was official, PU reporting that PSG hadn't given up on Mbappe and that there were daily contacts between the club and his handlers.
PU reported made these reports(July 13th, July 31st, August 10th) before Duncan Castles, Marca, MD, Telefoot, Di Marzio, picked up their story and began making similar reports of their own. This was also before Monaco began benching Mbappe.
