The prospect of Jesus, Mbappe, Sanchez, Sane and Sterling rotating the front 3 positions is undoubtedly mouth watering. The fact that Mbappe and Sanchez can play in the wide positions obviously provides greater flexibility than Aguero can offer. But it will still be a sad day for me if Aguero leaves the club before he reaches 30.

Can't see him being a sole striker in 433 formation, he's too lightweight. Now he's playing off a big man (Falcao) in 4222 seaching for channels, mostly on the left wing, very similar to Henry in Arsenal. That's what I base my assumptions on. Besides, Pep's "wingers'' are merely nominal, they're supposed to switch across the forward line constantly.Even tough, I don't see him having a career as LW. He will be one of the, if it's not the, best striker of the world without injuries.

If we've the budget to bring in a marquee attacker after boxing off the full back, centre back, keeper and holding mid positions, all well and good and there's no harm in trying to get one. We're not really under any pressure to sell this summer with so many out of contract and Nasri/Mangala putting themselves well into the shop window. Hart shouldn't be an issue either with his national status.They've been clearly working on these transfers all season, I've got no reason to doubt that they could line up 6 or 7, including defensive targets, for the day the window opens.
The more pressing issue is probably getting rid of the players we need to sell to make room.
Some of the shit on here....Sterling has as cool a head as anyone. You don't score goals like his vs. Bournemouth, sitting down the entire defence, or West Ham taking it around the keeper 1 yard from the byline without a cool head, you don't beat more players in the box than anyone else in Europe without a cool head.
