Kylian Mbappe

He's surely faster and more agile, though it doesn't necessarily make him a better player. He's a better striker, but I doubt he'll ever have Jesus' playmaking qualities.

That's crazy to me. KM ... the kid I posted on page one... with the legs that don't seem to match his body .. is faster, more agile, and potentially is even a better finisher than GJ?!?Hell I thought GJ was the best young player I've ever 'found' and a future Baloon d'or finalist. GJ might not even make our 'starting 11' if KM comes!!!

my assessment / post on page 1... in August. ''Looks like the goofiest guy on the pitch. Legs don't seem to match his body lol. Some nice flair though I'll give him that.'

Who'd have thought this kid was the one to break the xfer record? Not me lol

True I think Mbappe is a killer, he'll be an absolutely clinical goal scoring machine. While Jesus just has that "cliched" Brazilian magic about him and as he grows older I can see him get more and more involved into the teams play/build up and could essentially take a Griezmann/Messi kinda role.
What absolutely strikes me in both kids is not only technical skills/athletic qualities, but their cognitive abilities, awareness at this age. These are the signs of true greats in the making. Sane and Sterling, as good as they are, look clumsy as hell in their decisions compared to this pair.
As for Jesus, he's already playing kinda 'false 9' for City, in case you've forgotten his De Bruynesque passes from deep)

Mbappe is faster than GJ?? I haven't watched a ton of him TBH. Surely he's not as agile?

For sure.

@4:11. 36 km/H.

GJ will have an awesome career. It's not fair to compair him to Kylian. You just can't compare anyone to Mbappe. What he does and the quality he has at 18YO... It's just not fair.
He's header at the end of the video below for example .The little step and he cross at the last moment... That's something Henry didn't had on his day at Monaco for example.

Then, I understand that people that don't really know him think i'm biaised. But it's just what everyone that saw him think about this kid. Try to find three specialists saying that Mbappe is overrated -not for the buzz, with facts-.

100% agree

@mosssi : La Turbie - Monaco.

Mate, your arguments turn to be a bit childish... It's like saying that Cristiano is better than Messi because he's bigger and jumps higher) They both have their strong sides, one can do what other can't. For now I reckon Mbappe, Jesus and O.Dembele as more or less equal talents.

No, i wa just answering the question about speed.

Afterwhat, I said that overall, no one is near Mbappe. Not Jesus, not pulisic, not Dembele.
You also seems to forget that GJ just turned 20, while Mbappe turned 18 3 months ago.

But Dembele doesn't have the same role, so...

Havent timed either or seen a top speed mark for either. But from an eyeball view it looks that way. Perhaps its just Mbappe's gangly stride and a knack for getting behind defenses, but those traits made me conclude he was faster and more athletic. GJ has "suddeness" and technical/vision abilities that might make him seem slower to me. But that's how I see it now. I think Mbappe is close to Syerling/Sane fast. But I generally don't think of GJ as that type of a speedstar.

Being young in general and good already is suggestive of whether you'd be great later. But just because you were good at a younger age than another young kid who is good, doesn't mean you'd be better in future.

Both are Under 20. GJ won the Brazilian league at 19, Mbappe is about to win the French league at 18. Both are young. My sense is GJ will be a better player. Yours is that Mbappe will. We ate both biased. I've seen both play, and I prefer GJ even though I'd rather have both :p

GJesus is more like a 'false 9', he oftenly goes deeper and sprays middlerange throughballs like de Bruyne. A unique quality, which is impossible to develop if you don' have it from the start. Besides, he presses like crazy all over the pitch and seems to enjoy it. And I'm not even talking about finishing ability of Brazil's No9.
O.Dembele is a winger/inside forward. So, all 3 in fact have different skillsets and play different 'positions' (everyone interprets this term in his own way). I just don't see a point in comparing them and saying that one is better than another. Time will tell. Or won't tell ;)

I've already said this, you are totally biased and losing your credibility fast with your attitude... Jesus has all the legends of the game saying he will become a future Balon D'Or winner so if you're going off credibility Jesus wins hands down(Henry was good but Ronaldo was another level)... but the thing is nothing is set in stone, neither of them are anywhere near Messi or the Portuguese Tranny... yet, they've so far to go so just calm yourself down passing your opinions off as fact because nobody is buying it.

I say G. Jesus has more of a footballing brain(more involved in the thick of the play than Mbappé) and more flair(technically better with is feet, variety of goals), while Mbappé is more of a physical player, stronger due to his size and he may be faster but not miles faster, or you clearly don't know how fast G. Jesus is... he will more than keep up with Sané and Sterling who are rapid themselves, we only had a taster of that this season unfortunately but we saw enough to know G. Jesus has the pace to worry any defence.

As i said a million times, that's why I never hype a young guy, as i never said about Martial. But this one is something else. I'm not biaised, what you can here from me is what everybody think about him after watch him. Andrew is right about the fact that them 3 are not the same profils.
But without injury, Mbappe will be a much, much, much better player than every kid right now. That's absolutely not an attack to GJ or anyone else, it's just about Mbappé being something no one saw in a loooooooooooong time.

But as you say, you'll see. There's absolutely no doubt, it's like comparing GJ to Morata ^^
Everyone who saw both would say GJ hands down, but 90% of people didn't saw GJ play, so they'll go for Morata.

Exactly the same thing. I'll stop to post for today, since it's start to be a lot of bullshit again, I'll comeback probably when we will sell him for a breaking record fee, make a kiss to my yesterday's-friend.

You are not the authority on any of this... again stop passing your opinions off as fact. You're a total Mbappé fanboy we get it, it's like Ronaldo and Messi fanboys... never admitting they are biased always making huge strides to appear as though they aren't when they know they are(ie your attempt to claim you didn't hype Martial to "prove" you're not hyping Mbappé beyond belief).

I have watched all 3 and I think GJ is clearly the most talented of the 3. I have seen Mbappe about 10 to 15 times. And GJ about 10-12 times. Mbappe is very good, but GJ is better. I think they'll both end up being top end players.

Erm...You seem to be very young, as you obviously didn't witness Ronaldo Nazario's emergence, who was a level above Mbappe at the same age. So it's not like we're seeing something unheard of now. You're mostly reasonable in your posts, I like your argumentation, but sentences like "he'll be the best, believe me!" are a bit laughable and smell childish fanboyizm.
Edit: please, use more educated arguments to prove your point. I personally think that It's impossible to say how well Mbappe's carreer will develop. Bar injuries (God forbid), his body may very well change with age, losing some of athletic qualities. See Benzema if you need an example. That's one of the risks of buying him now for a record sum.
Overally, I see him as a slightly upgraded version of Henry - pace, same style of dribbling, great finishing and (in future) a good team playing/assist making. Can't imagine him becoming one of the GOATS as you seem to insist.

You mean 25 years ago? That's not "a long time" ? Aren't we talking about someone who became the greatest 9 of all time? :)
