Kyogo Furuhashi - on final striker shortlist

People keep saying this. He doesnt need it - he has a recurring shoulder issue which could be permanently resolved with the surgery.
Who knows? It did not work for Kalvin right? City medical team does not sound like the experts on rehab after shoulder operation.

we can pay a low base payment with a high add on - based on his fitness.

I'd doubt that. They've held out for £25m for O'Riley and Kyogo would be held in the same regard.
Teamtalk talked about 10-15M 2 months ago.

Quote:
"Kyogo’s agreed extension did not include a release clause and Celtic would need some persuading to let him go for £10m with a figure closer to £15m more likely to see a bid accepted."

And his shoulder issue occurred again now it certainly does not increase his value.

If we can find a striker happy to play second fiddle but the club is comfortable with their ability then that’s a plus in itself.

Seems two-footed too with some of the videos I’ve just seen. A clinical finisher. What’s not to love?

Fits the bill for what we need tbf. Think pep could make a lot of use out of him. It’s just weighing up whether we are better with him or a false nine.

Would suggest if we were playing Real Madrid and the big fella wasn't available we'd still go with the F9. Like you say this guy fits the profile of player we'd be looking at, can play early cup games and come on for 15-20 mins at the end of PL games if needed.

I wonder who the other name is.

I'm in two minds about Kyogo, not sure he's good enough on one hand but on the other he looks the sort of player who'd be better when surrounded by better players

Would be a string to Sam Lee’s bow if it turns out to be true. A name out of nowhere.

So we are going to sign a Japanese midget with one arm from Celtic that needs major surgery?

Sam lee in the house

If he does turn out to be right, with nobody else mentioning it as far as I have seen, that will deserve recognition. I accept that.

I think this would be the weirdest signing for many years. I can only see him playing if Haaland is injured, in which I think we will play with a false 9 and this lad will just be used as a super sub if things aren’t working out.
He'd give us the same option as Alverez to take the big man off on 70/75 mins. £81m...£15m.
