La Liga | 2024/25

7 academy guys in the starting XI for Barca in the 4-0 thrashing. La Masia is goated.

To be fair, Mbappe had an absolute stinker. How can you possibly be offsides 8 times??
That's the Blueprint. I hope Amorim or whoever comes in next prioritizes the integration of academy players into the first team

To be fair in this case this is more result of having no money.. I remember few months ago when they wanted to replace Raphinha with Nico Williams but couldn't register Williams, Tebas actually did them a favour with that, Raphinha is on fire this season along with Lamine and Lewy.

Looks like the American reddit fan boys would be calling Ancelloti a D.E.I hire for being destroyed at his own home or does that only applies to our Vinnie? But seriously Barcelona has to be studied, It's like you think they are done and it feels that way for about 2 or 3 seasons and next thing you know, they've rebuilt a team capable of dominating football for the next 5 to 10 years. English teams could learn something from them instead of splashing ridiculous amounts of money on overrated below average English players
Lot of emotion wrapped up in that post.

Yeah having too many options can be a curse sometimes, I hate to sound like one of those posters but if we had limited funds we might have handled the Cole Palmer situation better. That's all done now but there's a lesson there.

What part? the part about clueless football fans trying to push some sort of political narrative about Kompany or the part about English football teams spending ridiculous amounts of money on overrated English players?
Not really, a pointed observation though. It was more your emphasis on the need to use the EDS more - like Barca with La Masia (albeit forced upon them.)
If the likes of Palmer, Delap and Lavia etc were still in our squad now we'd be laughing.

I personally believe Palmer and Lavia would have done the business here, long term heirs to the throne

Enjoyed the game. But despite appearances some making conclusions just too early. Its the beginning of long season and trajectories for both Real and Barca could yet change.

Game itself been a bit a walk through the margins. Real found themselfes in plenty dangerous situations, but could not deal with offsides. Barca could have been easily 2/3 down before half time. Barca been very clinical after the break, while Real again could not figure out how to exploit Barca's high line and not been trapped into offside.

Best wishes for Flick, I like him and Barca as well, but its just too early for resolute findings. Its particularly funny when Barca been in crisis last few years (still achieved championship though), now in October they have great period and people hear call Man City to watch them and follow the path:D
