If you think Tebas is a loon, you haven’t read anything yet. Perez is in the padded cell above Tebas. I had to do a double take after reading his latest rant. Where do you start?
Florentino Perez has criticised the fact that some of Europe's top clubs now have state backing, as he highlighted that
Real Madrid made a 200 million euro offer for
Paris Saint-Germain forward
Kylian Mbappe but saw it rejected, despite the fact he was into the last year of his contract.
Speaking to the
Real Madrid board members ahead of the club's general assembly,
Los Blancos' president stressed the threat of state-backed clubs, with
PSG,
Manchester City and now
Newcastle United at the forefront of his ire.
"We have to fulfil our contracts and we try to bring in good players and the best players,"
Florentino Perez responded when asked by Radio MARCA's Ramon Alvarez de Mon.
"But you have to be able to afford them. Now you offer 200 million [euros] and they don't sell.
"When they finish their contracts it's better, but right now there are a lot of state-backed clubs and they don't want to sell you players.
"I strive for [financial] management [of the club] to be the main thing, not the money you get from elsewhere. The time will come when the top 30 clubs in Europe will be owned by countries.
"That is not the principle of the European Union. I came here to fight and I have been fighting since I arrived."

On behalf of Qatar and PSG I’d like apologise because they didn’t accept the €200mill you offered them. That aside, why the f*** are you trying to buy a player for €200mill, thus Inflating the transfer market, inflating player wages, and inflating agent fees again?
I’m sure if the tables were turned and PSG offered you €200mill for Mbabpe, if he was a Real Madrid player, you’d have turned them down as well, you hypocritical loon!
As for being state funded, you’d know about that wouldn’t you, Perez!
The hypocrisy and double standards from both Perez and Tebas is breathtaking.
