La Liga head Tebas - latest anti City outburst P37

How come Chelsea always get a free pass with Perez and tebas ?

maybe pep or khaldoon should go full on Rafa Benitez mode with a load of bullet points and facts to show why these accusations are untrue ?

If you come after the Russian, you end up found in a suitcase or a long soak in the bath you don't wake up from.

How the fuck that corrupt racist prick manages to hold down not one, but two, key positions in the game is beyond me. Anyway, some great work from Rabin again in calling out all the dodgy shit Tebas is involved in, while also calling out our wonderful British press who never ever call the **** out and would sooner wank themselves off every time he slags our club off:

I do love it when Rabin gets involved.Well said that man.

We are conflating different things but specifically on the ownership model as per the bolded bit I disagree with you.

"Legally, according to the documentation, we are owned by Sheikh Mansour and there's no doubt about that. But effectively we're owned by Sheikh Mohammed & the Executive Council. There's simply no way Khaldoon & Simon Pearce would be involved so heavily if weren't. Anyone who thinks otherwise is astoundingly naive."

Those are @Prestwich_Blue words not mine from 3 years ago. I defer to his expertise on thse matters and accepted the words then as I do now. In fact with stuff I've been delving into in recent times City/CGF are increasingly alligned to the interests of Abu Dhabi. All of which is good, IMO, for our continued success.

PB's post here and no doubt there are more in a similar vein:

I preferred the above analysis by Damocles which was well-researched and more nuanced, balanced and "grey" (rather than black or white) than any other analysis of the situation than I have seen elsewhere.

Not always a fan, but these posts were very informative and thought-provoking.

Edit. You need to click on the link to see the post, apparently. Although the post you see has some merit, as well :)

PB's quoted view didn't sit well with me then and it still doesn't. It would make Tebas correct.
You have to separate ownership, financial support, and influence.
There is no doubt that CFG own City, with Mansour owning 77% of CFG thru ADUG.
Our outside financial support came from Mansour/ADUG, but those days are mostly gone. He did step in with the £58m, which shows we have a backstop. Otherwise we are self sufficient. (Was the £58m a capital injection in return for shares?)
As to influence, it is clear, as PB says, that the involvement of Khaldoon and Pearce shows that there is government influence, but that is not the same as "effective ownership". It would be surprising if, in a society like Abu Dhabi, there were not close ties between the gov and a global enterprise like CFG.
