Labour / Tory Party meltdown Referendum fallout

It depends on IF the right wing within the party realise that their time is over and back the elected leader, go off in a huff, or continue to try and undermine Corbyn.
The power of the MSM is waiting rapidly and with 300,000+ willing to take the message to the doors that their is a better way, there is a fairer way, if the party unite, the tories will be history.

It's of no consequence MSM can knock on as many doors as they want. Corbyn is unelectable because the media will systematically undermine him. As I said labour has ceased to be a political party but become a brilliant protest group with circa 500,000 members. With boundary changes labour will need over 12m votes at the next general election to stand any chance of forming a government - to get that they need the kind of mass appeal that Corbyn can never deliver. I'm afraid labour will get its lowest number of votes since the 1920,s - despite knocking on 20m doors. Moreover, Corbyn being a southern bias 'cockney' won't help him in the labour heartlands - his recent pledge to spend additional monies in the SE caused a few raised eyebrows in the north. Labour should have learned some lessons from Scotland but it failed to do so and will reap the consequences.

I suggest you learn what the MSM & revisit your reply.

When will people realise that labour became condemned to permanent opposition before corbyn became leader? The rise of the SNP and collapse of Scottish labour meant that they will never be in power again unless in coalition. That would still be the case whoever won today or last year. I can actually see a labour/SNP coalition working if a few key compromises are reached.

Labour MP's need to decide whether they want to fight the tories or carry on flouncing because a Socialist is in charge.

A united focused party may do better than expected.

They need to stop being mard arses and get on with being the opposition.

I don't know why anyone thought anything else, once again Labour let down the country by offering an alternative that was essentially Corbyn-lite. It is almost a joke to call Smith a Blairite when he is pretty much exactly the same as Corbyn on his socialist beliefs. Then again even someone like Liz Kendall offers virtually nothing but a slimy, stuttering career politician. They need someone with steel who isn't a socialist but will hold the government to account and represent the views of everyone but instead they lurch again to a protest movement.

Labour will continue but judging on the last few PMQ's they will continue to fail as an opposition and flounder further into a movement only 1% of the country is interested in. There have been tons of opportunities to hurt the Tories on inaction on Brexit and other things but there is total silence as usual from them. It is just funny how millions are employed and plodding on in life but Corbyn only focuses on those on zero hour contracts etc. He has said nothing how he will help the average family beyond taxing them more or putting their jobs at risk by taxing companies more.

Corbyn has no interest in representing the majority of people and voters who just work full time, have families and generally just want to crack on and do better for themselves.

All 24% of them

54 24 what does it matter. The way it works in this country is the party which wins the most seats wins the election. Those are the rules and have been for years.

Corbyn was better than smith though will give you that. Hopefully labour will get behind Corbyn now and at least get some balance to the Tories as an effective opposition. The country at least needs that.

Corbyns 10 priorities he has stated in this election

They are:

  1. An economy that works for all
  2. Secure homes for all
  3. A free National Education Service
  4. Action to secure our environment
  5. Security at work
  6. Cut income and wealth inequality
  7. Act to find prejudice and injustice
  8. Secure our NHS and social care
  9. Democracy in our economy
  10. Peace and justice abroad
I would say 1-9 would directly effect the majority of people and voters who just work full time, have families and generally just want to crack on and do better for themselves, as much as it would help the worse off in society.

They do all sound good. But it's like me saying I want

1 more hair
2 be taller
3 have a better job.
4 have a bigger dick
5 marry a supermodel.

It's easy bullshit saying I want peace and justice ( who fucking doesn't?) and housing for all and free education anyone can say that shit. It's how you pay for it and achieve that that people are interested in. It's completely meaningless. Policies and how we do it is what we all want to hear and until we do it does not mean anything.

Correct. Always easy to promise all sorts of everything when you're in opposition.
