My only concern with signing Lacazette is the French Ligue isn't a high standard.

Every league has good and bad players that will or won't succeed in England, it's just a matter of scouting them properly and deciding if what they are able to do well in one place will work for them here. The premier league is no different, there's been tons of big money flops between premier league teams who couldn't replicate what they did for one team when they moved to another. It's not as simple as being "premier league proven".
As for Lacazette, my only concern would be that this is his first huge year. I've not watched nearly enough to know whether he's just in great form of if he's actually a great player. That's where our scouts have to be spot on, as he'll cost a lot after the season he's had.

Makes you think we might be seeing the start of a new French Golden Generation with the sheer amount of talent they have had emerging the past couple years. If we are indeed looking at replacing Jovetic and Dzeko this guy is definitely the one we want. Bony, Aguero and Lacazette is a ridiculously powerful front three with an academy youngster providing a fourth rotation spot.
