Lack of Injuries

I hope I am not putting a jinx on us, but I have been very impressed by our avoidance of injuries this season.

While luck does have a bearing, so does proper supervision, training and warm up regimes. With Kolorov and Hargreaves today back in full training we dont appear to have any injurred players! Hats off to the management and medical teams and "touch wood" long may it continue.

certain amount of luck involved, but we now have 3 italian physio`s who are supposed to be fantastic. if you remember a while back bob exploded because players were out for so long after picking up what he thought were minor injuries.

well done the op we are fooked now ;)

guess thats what we assembelled this size of squad for (just as long as a certain little gent from spain stays injury free)

I would have thought proper diagnosis of minor injuries is important to "catch things in the bud" with the likes of pulled muscles, groin strains, achilles, and hamstring injuries.

Do we have access to facilities like MRI at Carrington? I know there are tremendous plans for new facilities at the proposed training complex next to the Etihad.

Was speakin to the old man about this last night, its got to be because of the training regime we have and the size of the squad and as already stated our physios who are doing a fantastic job. Touch wood everyone is fit and well through this difficult period coming up.

It definitely isn't luck. Mancini and his staff are doing something right because we have had a relatively clean bill of health for the entire 2 years he has been here. Whereas Arsenal and United always top the Physio Room table....despite rotating as much if not more than us.

It is barely mid-season, thankfully we're not feeling the strain... although Richards, Kolorov etc have had the odd knock.
If you look at the injury table Arsenal have 9 injured players and Utd 8. We seem to be doing something right! :-)

Its bollox that rags keep saying half the team is injured.............apart from vidic who would play regularly out of their current injured players ?

Zinedine Clevercloggs ? maybe

but who else.............

I think squad rotation is definitely what’s behind this. Players get injured when they’re tired so more recovery time between games will help to limit the number of injuries.

One thing I noticed against arsenal (can’t believe I’ve never noticed it before) is our subs don’t have a kick around on the pitch at half time. Good thing because I always think it looks a bit Sunday league. But got me thinking whether it’s because mancini wants all players to listen to his team talk or whether there is an indoor area where they can warm up. I think it’s probably because mancini wants every single player to feel part of the match and hear what he has to say

I've been thinking it for a while but wasn't daft enough to post it!

Definitely a mixture of of good management and good luck.

The loss of Silva is the one that worries me along with the loss of a central midfielder when Yaya goes away.
