Lack of pace on the wings

even if we had pacy wingers, we would ask them to slow down, turn back, and pass it back.
we could get Mbappe here to play on left winger role and Pep would ask him to avoid beating defenders, going into the bo
try to slow play down and pass it back to Rodri or even Ake, yes thats the job most of the time for Mahrez and Grealish.

as last thing we need is Grealish to beat a defender make a shit cross which is headed out and opponents is off to go on a counter vs our defenders who shit the bed so often.
 
Why don't we play borges !!! Rodri was awful today, Jack was our man of the match still playing him wrong position he a number 8 - we not creating anything Pep needs change this system
 
Thought jack was quality today has been since the world cup starting to look the same player he was at villa with confidence taking on players drawing fouls mahrez wasn't amazing today but had been past few games aswell looking ok for us on the wings at the minute however think we could be a bit more direct at times need to do whatever we can to get kravatshkhelia or leao in the summer would definitely go for robinson from fulham could have done with getting him in January window but we'll have to wait seen many better winger performances but thought grealish was really good once again today and needs to be given lots of credit keep him playing like this and we've got one class player there.

Grealish was without doubt our MOM, gave his all but zero end product, is a wide player supposed to create?
 
I'm not sure the problem is the pace of our wide players. It's more the speed (or lack of it) that we get the ball out to them (and other forward players). By the time they get the ball, they are usually up against a set defence and then need to beat a couple of players to get the ball into a heavily defended penalty area.

We need to move the ball more quickly from back to front IMO.

borges is awful technically. sometimes he struggles to control the ball. Mebude should be ahead of him
