Laser eye surgery

Thanks and I'll let you know. Hardest part may be staying off screens for a week.
If it's lens replacement your having then my experience was that my appointment was 11:30 and all finished by 13:30, patch over the eye but we went walking around the Xmas market then had some food, patch off at 19:30 just in time to watch chumps league.
Drops for 2 week's were a pain in the bum, but must have been worth it as no setbacks.

I'd rather bump into furniture and doors than have this sort of surgery, fair play to anyone with bigger cojones than I have for going through the procedure.

I had both mine done several years ago in Stepping Hill. Looking at the clarity and colour of things especially after the first was seemed like magic.
Outside the theatre on the first one l was chatting to the anaesthetist while they were waiting for the drugs to kick in and l knew him but couldn't place him. My 'bad' eye' sight was blurring and the good one covered as the surgeon got to work.
Then l realised where l knew the anaesthetist from. He was a real first artist in my local, got in early doors, always disshevelled and walloped back extra strong lager two at a time.
Everything went great but to this day l wonder what l would have done if l had recognised him before he stuck the needle in my eye.

Its not so much the furniture, it was misjudging distance in the car for me, fortunately just clipping the kerb.

Be very careful mate
As I said, I was mid 30's when I had my cataract op and it weakens the eye, hence a detached retina 15 years later and that was scary

Yes, now you come to mention it i'm probably showin some signs of a detached retina .... mind you i've not had an eye test at the opticians for the last three years!

The last time i went in for one at Specsavers i told them i thought i had a problem with my left eye ... they told me i didn't , but said that i had a problem with my right one!

So that meant a trip to that overcrowded waiting room at the MRI eye hospital .....

I remember waiting the next morning examination when a chap who must be mid seventies who was using a walking stick and had a frail walk, I thought why bother at that age.
Saw him the following week after the second eye was done, he walked in as confident as you like with his stick under his arm.
I realised the effect sight has on your well-being and happiness.
For me the thing that I remember most was getting in the car to drive home (stopped overnight) and for first time in a few years I could read the dash board, see rain on the screen and number plates at distance

Looking out of my eye and it was like there was water filling it from the bottom and I was losing my sight in it from the bottom upwards, it was the retina peeling away
This was on a Monday. My doctors surgery made me an appointment for Thursday. Wifey said I couldn't wait that long and rang our optician, who said come down now
He said it's not good, rang Leighton hospital and got me in to see an eye specialist late that afternoon
They confirmed the retina was detaching and booked me an appointment for 9.30am the next day (Tuesday) at Liverpool eye hospital, who booked me in for the reattachment procedure for the next day, Wednesday
If I'd have waited for my doctors appointment I would have completely lost the sight in the eye

I got it done in 2004 (was like -500 both eyes), eyesight still as good as perfect now. Best thing i ever done. I went with optical express, About 700 per eye. They’ll try and sell you the top “nasa standard” package, will it make any difference aside from the price? I’m not sure. My wife also had the basic option and is 100%
