I’ve known people like the lead, I didn’t like them either..... it’s an easy subject matter to write (imo) yet it misses the mark. The score is also horrendous, despite the subliminal bollocks, it belongs where it was produced, Guantanamo!

Interesting...

I thought the "subliminal bollocks" was subtle throughout, despite the heavy-handedness of the delivery, thus making it a very nice juxtaposition.

I mean, not a lot of people can see themselves unless it's reflected, despite the mantra they tell themselves that they're 'in control'.

It's not a subject matter that can be broached gently, is it, otherwise what's the point?

I didn't mind the score. Again, I thought was just about right.

But, fair enough, Zin!

Just caught the last hour of Casablanca. Cracking film, Bogey at his best. The scene in Ric's where he helps the young Bulgarian couple win enough money to pay for their travel to America is brilliant. And Victor Lazslo leading the singing of "La Marseillaise", drowning out the German singalong.
