Last Film You Saw

Watched Nomadland. I'm not going to criticise it because some people have really enjoyed it I know, but it did nothing for me at all.
I really liked it, in fact thought it was brilliant. Very well made.
I like films that are real to life.
There are plenty of these grey nomads travelling around Australia as well, permanently, some by choice, some as they have lost homes with mortgages etc.
It's about a woman who lost everything, her husband her job, I suppose it could happen to any of us.

Just finished the Netflix film "Fatherhood" starring Kevin Hart.

What an interesting piece. Not for the film itself, it's been done a thousand times, but mainly for Hart's 'natural' performance and the direction and pacing.

Hart flows with the other cast nicely and was engaging and humorous in the right places. So kudos to the director who knew when to dial things back when the comedy started. So many of these films veer wildly in one direction or another, but this keeps its balance.

A good, solid and balanced film without ripping up any trees.

Yeah, Paul Weitz is a great director with some great movies to his credit including About A Boy and Little Fockers, American Pie.
I enjoyed this film and gave it a 6.5/10
