Last Film You Saw

Tomorrow’s war, was enjoying it until the 1 hour 50 mark when it just got very silly indeed.

There is worse about mind if you have some time to kill.

watched this last night, more holes in the plot than a swiss cheese but as an action film it was decent and well done. shades of world war Z towards the end

I'd watch a film of her reading the telephone directory. God, but she's gorgeous.

Since there seem to be a number of Mads Mikkelsen fans on here: has anybody seen Michael Kohlhaas with him in it? I was intrigued by it, but never quite got my arse in gear to go and see it.

No, mate. He's a great actor. I'll have a look out for it.

Finally got round to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Pity it didn't actually turn out that way.

Very good film. Di Caprio and Pitt are superb.

The dog used in the film is beautiful.
Like you, I finally got round to watching this last night, more so because it seemed to have varying reviews.
I thought it was excellent , nice and easy pace to it, some great acting, my only gripe,
was that I know what damage a dog like that is capable of, no way on gods green earth would those weirdos have been able to carry on and be a threat the amount of time the dog was savaging them , especially the guy lol they’d have been hanging on to their lives by a thread

Don't think so.

Another round is great. Mads Mikklesen is great in it.
Have you seen Riders of Justice yet ?
I watched this a couple of weekends ago, really good film. I also recommend Flickering Lights by the same director if you haven't seen that. His films seem to follow the same theme - the coming together of dysfunctional oddballs to create their own 'family'.

A couple of films i watched Sat night (cos it was too hot to feckin sleep and the air cooler I ordered on Amazon Prime has gone 'missing'):

The Day After - America's answer to Threads at the height of the cold war. Nuclear armageddon from the viewpoints of various characters living in and around Kansas. As a kid I remember watching it and thinking it was an over-sanitised portrayal of the reality of nuclear war (which to be fair the end credits allude to). Can only think I wasn't allowed to watch all of it because on viewing again it really does pack quite a punch, with a great performance from Jason Robards as the hospital doctor gradually succumbing to radiation sickness. Still the most watched American TV movie ever I think. 7/10

Figures On a Landscape - Forgotten film from 1970, starring Malcolm McDowell and Robert Shaw (who wrote the script). They play 2 fugitives stalked by a black helicopter as they try to reach the border of whatever (ficticious) country they were being imprisoned in. Dialog is a bit ropey but the scenery and cinematography are excellent - it's an odd film, bombed at the box office, but I found it a decent watch. 6.5/10

Of course this pre-dates Shaw's most famous role in Jaws which is all I really remember him for - I was shocked to find out that not only was he not American but British and from Westhoughton. Died far too young too.

Even Terminal? That is one, er, different film

Agree with your general point, though. She didn't hit too many branches when she fell out of the ugly tree.
