Last Film You Saw

Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)

Popular on Netflix at the moment. Don't think it was as good as the first re-boot, just one of those action-adventure movies you can have fun with, without taking it too seriously. Enjoyable and a bit daft, good 'popcorn movie'. To be fair the actors (once they go into the game) do a good job of portraying the person whose supposed to be playing them, if that makes any sense.

Probably going to be 3rd movie given the way it ended and wouldn't complain to be honest.

7/10

Both of the newer versions were really good i thought. I believe they are filming the 3rd one next year.

Did you know there was already a sequel to the original Jumanji before all this?

It actually didn't click with me that Zathura was the sequel, use to watch the original Jumanji as a kid, the noise of the drums use to scare the shit out of me.

Another rarely shown Clint Eastwood film on BBC4 HD tonight.

21:00 - Escape from Alcatraz (1979)

Fact-based story set in America's former maximum security prison. from which escaping is supposed to be impossible.

And it keeps up guessing right up to the end.
Anything with Anna Taylor-Joy is a must watch IMO. She's taking over from Charlize Theron in the next Mad Max.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, your new Imperator Furiosa;

Seen it several times. One of Clint's better films. I'd recommend it if you're at a loose end. Think it has Patrick McGoohan of Dangerman/The Prisoner fame as the prison governor - ironically.
