Last Film You Saw

As I have watched all the others, I thought I would treat myself to Rise of the Footsoldier Origins today! Completely over the top violence but it was actually a bit better than a couple of the others once you get your head around the 50 year old actors playing 20 odd year old blokes.
 
The King of Staton Island. Bill Burr, Pete Davidson, co wrote it too. Marisa Tomei all brilliant, Burr was excellent, but Davidson stole it. Great story, dialogue sharp, powerful, funny and full of emotion. I would highly recommend it. I was going to give a rundown of it, but in the end I couldn’t be arsed.
 
Almost Famous.
extended cut at near 3 hours becomes a tad repetitive but gave it a go as I’d only seen it once before, at times of release. Watching it now, in light of Me Too movement it all feels a bit queasy, esp the Kate Hudson character. It doesn’t quite seem to know what tone to take, what kind of a film it wants to be, which leaves some of the gear changes a bit jarring to watch.
Decent tunes though (of course), and a charismatic photogenic cast.
