Last Film You Saw

New Year's resolution is to catch up on classic films I've never seen (the list is embarrassing. Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, Star Wars IV-VI, Alien, etc etc etc). Got a list of 100 ready and waiting, ticked off 3 so far.

Pulp Fiction was great, but I'm not sure Gremlins or The Goonies are films I'm ever going to feel any desire to watch again. I can see why they're classics but not big on either of them tbh.

Working through a list myself, saves me wasting time deliberating over which film to watch.

I've missed similar big films, I've watched all the ones you've mentioned (watched Ghostbusters recently - pretty crap if you ask me) but missed some classics like The Godfather.

Similar opinion on The Goonies got pelters in work for it.

I had to double-take at the scene with Sigourney Weaver sat in the armchair and the ghoulish hands felt her up ripping at her dress and exposing her bra.

Serious question, how does someone go through life without watching Jurassic Park?

It really hasn't been a very long life yet to be fair, and I'm of the generation where if a film isn't on Netflix or a free one on Amazon Prime I probably haven't seen it. You'd probably be stunned at some of the others I haven't seen, but by the end of 2023 that will hopefully be rectified.

The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996) - 7/10

Based on the first half(ish) of Larry Flynt's (founder of Hustler magazine) life. Woody Harrelson is so good in this, ridiculous performance. Great storytelling, albeit I imagine it's been exaggerated to some degree and I believe some of the more controversial stuff Hustler has done was left out of it.

Weird watching a film on somebodies life where questions are left unanswered at the end of the film, then years later, we can read/know the outcome.
