Last Film You Saw

Everything Everywhere All at once - allegedly nominated for 11 Oscars so I thought I'd give it a go.
45 minutes in started to flick through my phone, then spent 10 more minutes watching once I realised Jamie Lee Curtis was in it, once I realised what her character was gave it 5 more minutes and gave up up - utter shite, critics obviously seeing something I'm not, it's like someone's had a nightmare, woken up, and put it on film - if you want to see people's fingers become hot dogs as they waltz for no apparent reason, enjoy the film..........

Or... By not paying attention you didn't realise the central character became the central point for all versions of herself in different universes...

Umm, hence the title...?

I certainly paid attention enough to enjoy the film, so thanks, I did!

Yes. One film I really didn't get at all. I guess it's just not my thing but the oscar nominations are baffling, as they generally are every year.

Action Jackson (1988) - 4/10
Pretty poor 80's action movie that I think was done to advertise Carl Weathers' body conditioning and Vanity's singing.

And here's a much shorter diagram-free summary: the plot was impenetrable and full of unnecessary irrelevant detail.

An interesting initial premise was hijacked by confusing narrative midway.

This film is an OK watch if you're bored stiff - but stumbling upon a random film, you'd likely do better. In this genre - Timecrimes much better - Memento even moreso.

I've seen it before and wasn't confused but, I'm sure the point of it is to give the audience the run around about where in time they are. It's not a particularly complicated film.

It cost 7000 USD to make, you don't get polish on top of your primer for that amount.

"or by not paying attention" - Pretentious fucking comment eh? yeah I realised about all the different universes etc, but it doesn't mean I have to be a sheep and go along with what the critics say as if I have to prove something unlike some people........

You can’t dislike a film that Bigga likes without being a moron or someone who is unable to grasp the concept of a film. I think Bigga is actually Mark Kermode. I’ve been planning to watch it so will check in again soon.
