Last Film You Saw

And Then There Were None / Ten Little Indians (1945) (Agatha Christie) on YouTube.

Cracking film. Nice cast.

Ten people, all strangers to each other, are invited to a small isolated island off the coast of Devon, England, by a Mr. and Mrs. Owen. They settle in at a mansion tended by two newly hired servants, Thomas and Ethel Rogers, but their hosts are absent. Rocky in glorious 4k, it’s never looked better, I first saw this film at the age of 9 in 1978, it’s been one of my all time favourites, a great story of an underdog and the first film I remember where it really doesn’t end the way you think it will 8.5/10.

One of the first films I watched on video. Cracker. Probably about 1982 when I saw it though or thereabouts. Think my first 3 videos were that, First Blood and The Warriors.

All Quiet on the Western Front (new one with German subtitles)
Interestingly, combatants only German and French referenced throughout the film, highlights the utter desperation of Germany in 1918 and the pig headedness of their military leaders plus the absolute humiliation piled upon them at surrender. Great film, bit long but far better than some of recent offerings 1917 etc. 9/10
