Last Film You Saw

Paradise Alley. Made in 1978 it's a story about 3 brothers, one is a street smart likeable rogue (sly Stallone) one is the brains and the other a big strong but uneducated man. Just a simple tale of how they prevail via wrestling and taking on the local muscle. I love these films and have looked for this for a while and then it pops up on my IPTV!

Bluestream - GREAT COMEDY

When a heist goes wrong, thief Miles (Martin Lawrence) hides a diamond at a construction site before he's arrested. After serving two years, Miles returns to the location of his treasure and finds it is now a police station. Disguising himself as a recently transferred officer to infiltrate the building, Miles stops an escaping thief while trying to retrieve the jewel. Impressed by his quick action, superior Rizzo (Graham Beckel) partners him with the bumbling detective Casey (Luke Wilson).

That sounds similar to the unofficial Carry On film The Big Job in set-up.

Just finished watching "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance."

Great old western - 9/10.

Some "fun facts" I noticed:

1) I had just finished watching "Bad Day at Black Rock" prior to watching "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance." I noticed several random similarities between the films:
* Opening sequence starts with a railroad train
* Both films are set in a desert locale adjacent or near to California
* Both can be considered Westerns, though Bad Day occurs after the days of the wild west

2) I read somewhere - perhaps apocryphally - that the album name for The Pixies first release "Come on Pilgrim" was inspired by John Wayne. And in "The Man Who Shot..." - sure enough, Wayne is saying "pilgrim" in every third sentence or so.

Kid Salami, it’s one of those Sly films nkt many know about a bit like Nighthawks, which is a great film, bit of a Serpico look with Rutger Haher as the baddy

Lee Marvin is great as the bad guy.
