The Witch ? Brilliant film, very highly regarded by the more intelligent crowd (like me). The goat was called Black Phillip :)
Robert Eggers was only given the green light to make The Northman after very positive reviews (by viewers and critics) of The witch and The Lighthouse.
He's now working on a remake of the vampire film Nosferatu. Looking forward to that, his films are extremely creepy.

I thought the witch was crap, I have been looking forward to watching the Northman and the Lighthouse but now I might not bother.
If I do watch them and they are shite, he'll go on the podium of shitbags who's stuff I won't watch, along with Stephen king and that M night shamalamadingdang ****.

If you didn't like The Witch, and obviously you didn't, I wouldn't recommend you watch any of his other films, guaranteed you won't like them.

I'll watch them. I think the witch was hyped up and therefore a bit of a let down.
I also think that the term "horror film" is not what it used to be.

Well, well, a dissenter after my own heart! I had it really bigged up by friends, and I know it's got this huge reputation. I was looking forward to big things from it. I found it mannered, and finally tiresome because of that.
And I'm quite a fan of Coen brothers films, by the way.

Big Lebowski one of the best films ever……10/10
