Last Film You Saw

Watched Sisu yesterday. Loved it. Solid 8/10.

With the John Wick movies and copycat franchises becoming increasingly extravagant with their sets and weapons and special effects, this was a good example of how to make one of those kinds of movies in a much more minimalistic way.

The sets are simple and natural, the cast is relatively small, and the story is as basic as it gets, but there's some terrific visual storytelling and excellent action sequences.

Also, fun fact: one of the freaking Nazis is played by the kid from the Only Fools and Horses spin-off, The Green Green Grass. I watched the whole film like "I swear I know that guy from somewhere" and then looked him up at the end. Bizarre.

Good film!

Just finished watching it.
I cant remember the last time I enjoyed a film as much as this. Absolutely fucking superb film. 8.5/10

Watched "Air" on the weekend.

It's brilliant. I tried to describe it to colleagues this morning, who aren't sports fans but would enjoy it. "It's a film about Michael Jordan's shoe deal"....doesn't really hook many in but it's fantastic. Matt Damon is very good in it. Ben Affleck is, well a lot like how you imagine he would be in real life - away with the fairies.
Yes, really enjoyed it too. Shame about Pete the shoe guy. Came up with possibly the most iconic shoe as well as an iconic logo yet no one knows who the fuck he is.

Willys Wonderland

Nicholas Cage as a janitor cleaning up a closed down kids restaraunt and fighting possessed animatronics

does exactly as it says bound for cult classic status 7/10
