As there’s no proper footy this weekend I’m looking for a few must see films to watch…..any recommendations?

was flicking through Netflix last night and watched 'A time to kill' I'd actually forgotten just how good that movie is.

Must see film?
"Watchmen- Director's Cut" If you've ever read the comics, easter eggs/ homages everywhere, if you've not, deep symbolism about the state of the world.
"No Country for Old Men"- simply superb and deeply disturbing.
"Man on Fire" (the remake with Denzel Washington)- Noblest redemption arc I've seen on screen.
"The Book of Eli"- Not sure ANYONE ELSE on the planet could carry this nondescript film the way Denzel Washington does!
"Rope"- Excellent Hitchcock thriller dealing with unspoken taboos.
Finally "Fury"- intense claustrophobic war in action.

Never seen it along with Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter or any superhero film.Saturday Night Fever. It really hasn’t aged well at all.

Story of a young lad who gets signed by a big club to be a pro footballer.
But it's not as expected. I recommend all lovers of football watch it.
Really well made, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Watched ‘When we were Kings’ for the first time in years yesterday.
Really enjoyed watching it again - there’s probably 5 or 10 minutes worth of stuff that doesn’t add that much, but there’s a good narrative to it and it’s worth watching just for the footage it has of Ali.
Just under an hour and a half, so definitely worth a watch given the lack of games this weekend. On Amazon Prime at the moment.
