Last Film You Saw

Summer Hours (2008)

After their mother's death, three siblings must decide what to do with the family summer house and its valuable contents. This subtle French drama from writer-director Olivier Assayas is light on plot but rich in conversation and themes--among the latter, the effects of globalization on families, and the relationship between life and art/valuables. I suppose some people will find the movie a big nothingburger, but I loved it. Charles Berling, Jérémie Renier and a blonde Juliette Binoche play the siblings.

Been watching some older Denzel movies;
The Book of Eli - (8/10). Not going to say much about this, its set in a post apocalyptic world where a lone traveller has a sacred book. Gary Oldman plays the bad guy so what's not to like.
Man on Fire - (9/10). Vengeance movie, or should I say how a vengeance movie should be made. Also has Christopher Walken in it and a great turn by a young Dakota Fanning.
Fallen - (8/10). Detective investigates murders that seem to be the same even after the perp has been executed. Uses Time is on my side by the Stones which is a great track
