Just watched True Grit on bbc2. The new one. Its not quite as good as the old one but still a good film. 7/10 the original is 8/10

Went round to my friends other night and saw Victoria slow to start so for a movie 8/10 as the first part . But for nearly 2 and a half hours only done in one continous shot WOW . 9.5 . Will be watching it again.

Not as funny as the last one but still has a few funny moments...7/10

Spotlight 7/10

What was in the film was well done. However i can't help feeling it skimmed over the story as a whole.
It was like a very long montage in away. There is substance make no mistake and the story needed to be condensed ofc for film.
The end scene gave a sense of scale in a way but this i felt needed to be painted clearer somehow earlier even though we knew the numbers.

Good film but did not punch me in the gut hard enough when the film allowed for it at so many points.
