Last Film You Saw

In a violent nature.
What a pile of steaming monkey jizz. It has no redeeming features. Long boring shots of the back of someone walking through the woods, no suspense, clichéd, terrible acting, very poor dialogue and some of the scenes are just dumb and comical.
0/10
One of my favourite films of the year, absolutely loved it

Jerry and Marge go Large a feel good film based on a true story 6/10
Godzilla Kong New Empire, popcorn movie but the sound and picture are stunning, the level of CGI is off the scale, instantly forgettable 6/10

Platform on Netflix as 'recommended'? from NorCalBlue from the most depressing films thread. I thought it was great, very symbolic. Watched it in Spainsh with Subs cos I hate Dub. There's a platform 2 coming out next week apparently and I have no idea how it requires a sequel but I'll have to give it 10 minutes regardless.

A bit late to the film but watched American Gangster last week. Apparently it plays a bit fast and loose with reality but it's still a really good watch. Denzel Washington is fantastic - so much so that you're desperate for some kind of redemption arc for his character.

Really enjoyed it, something completely different. I'm like you though, don't see how they can make another one. Perhaps it moves up rather than down, this time :)

I'd be the exact opposite. I hate subtitles. I'd rather keep my attention for what's happening on screen, not having to read subtitles. And certainly not for the entirety of the film.

It's only a glance down and it's a small price to pay for actually hearing the real actors speaking their words in the manner they're intended, and not some git from who knows where who's only pretending to be in the film.

Definitely, makes the films feel really cheap and tachy with dubbed voices, plus sometimes with the dubbed soundtrack you don't get the full dolby atmos track.

Deadpool and Wolverine, It had its moments but It was all over the place and at some point I was hoping it would end quickly. The humour seemed forced except for the scene were Wolverine rants in the car, that to me was the funniest scene in the entire movie.

Also, Channing Tatum as gambit? That pipe dream needs to end immediately, any comic book reader knows Gambit has a slightly tan complexion, a very slender figure and a quiet yet dsngerously cunning look (Like an italian / Iberian look). I can't think of any young actor that fit this description (but then again, I'm not a casting director, that what they are paid for) but Adrian Brody would have been perfect to play an ageing, old gambit in a different timeline (since the multiverse is all you need in these movies), fuck even Keanu reeves would be a nice touch as an ageing gambit but the very pale, stocky, broad shouldered, frat boy Magic Mike guy? Nope
