Last Film You Saw

Watched Eddie the Eagle the other day. I'm a bit of a sucker for a feel good movie. Enjoyed it. Well worth a watch.

Star wars the force awakens. I thought it was decent. Not the best not the worst. Entertaining enough though. Would it have helped if I'd seen any of the previous films though? I'm sure there were some references to the previous episodes in there

I was on my Jack this afternoon, it was pissing down, couldn't be arsed with England, and England the cricket team had murdered Sri Lanka.

So I watched American Sniper first time in a long while, and what a great film.

I tip my hat, would buy a drink for the boys and girls that have to go and do that shit for a living, protecting old fat grumpy bastards like me.

Great watch and the real life footage at the end of the movie is really moving and brought a tear from my glass eye.

Just been forced to endure "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" and I can't believe I'm saying this, I really enjoyed it,
a lot of the script keeps true to Jane Austin weirdly, maybe not the bit where they shot Mrs Gardiner's head off, good script and cast, with a super camp Matt Smith, I give it 7/10
Thought it was decent enough too.

Thought Gods of Egypt was enjoyable too.

Saw this a while ago and thought it was good. Funnily enough I was going to watch it again before but couldn't be bothered. Anyway, it was a good film but did you not find it a bit hypocritical how the American was cast as a hero and the other sniper a terrorist in his own country? I'm aware that's bordering on a political statement and I'm not trying to make 1 but just found it a bit crass. The film in and of itself was very good but the "America yeah!!" Theme of it left a bad taste

Revenant - enjoyed it. Visually brilliant and the scenery and lack of dialogue was really good. Used to think Leo couldn't act but fair play to him.

It does come across as a bit "tubthumping"-ish. Then again, most American made war/combat films do. That being said, it is a good film; Bradley Cooper is excellent in the lead role.

Nice to see this thread back
Last night I saw Race, about Jesse Owens and the Nazi bastards at the 1936 Olympics. Very good watch, highly recommend it
