Last Film You Saw

The Deer Hunter - Shit, complete shite, slow and gives me no insight about the perils of war and how it can affect people espesh in a small town more than i already imagined. Three hours i shall never get back, complete toss. I would have done as well watching a complete version of fucking Aida. It has a few good scenes but not enough to shake the tedium i felt throughout the whole film.

It may have been good then or for a while after, now it feels dated as other films show what it does just as well in a context more relevant to me i.e. Iraq/Afghanistan etc.
Hahaha, you tell em Guy.

If you were feeling a bit low, that film would have you reaching for the noose mate, you seen it?.
I am convinced many say it is good just to follow the trend. You can have downbeat depressing films that are full value, this was just meh.
Yes mate, saw it many years ago. It is a tad depressing.

In the Deep (or 47 Meters Down)

I kept skipping over this expecting it to be a cheap and corny cash in coinciding with the cinema release of "The Shallows", I actually found it the much better film of the two. Although the main character is slightly more annoying (but they usually are) it builds the tension better, there's some nice camera work that really draws you in and the sharks look massive and convincing. I do enjoy a good shark flick, I know some people think they give sharks a bad rep but for me the ocean is/should be alien to the human body and these things are perfectly adapted killing machines for their environment, I'm just glad killer whales don't have a taste for us because those can take anything down.
