Last Film You Saw

Got a film called 'Battleground' on http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2186783/ pretty good so far for a b-movie, enjoying it.

I like the idea of The Brothers Grimsby but if i could just swap out Cohen for someone else then great, if he wrote it then sweet, i just find him specifically; awkward to watch. I will try again maybe after a smoke later.

Just watched the new Star Trek film, what a sack of crap. Normally love Star Trek movies but this seemed to lack any real plot and just bumbled along into some kind of storyline. Nearly turned it off i thought it was that poor. 2/10

If you were feeling a bit low, that film would have you reaching for the noose mate, you seen it?.
I am convinced many say it is good just to follow the trend. You can have downbeat depressing films that are full value, this was just meh.

It was good in 1978 when it came out.

There is one part of that film that you will enjoy a lot after a smoke

That is what i thought, i mean just the next year Apocalypse Now came out i think and that film is mint, gave a whole different look at war and the mind. The uso show in the middle of fucking nowhere was surreal as fuck, that was when i knew this film was going down a cerebral mind fuck path of sorts, in a great way.

The Deer Hunter probably held up well for a few years after but defo feels dated now whereas i'll watch Apocalypse Now within the next few months again, in fact it appeals right now.

The Deer Hunter - Shit, complete shite, slow and gives me no insight about the perils of war and how it can affect people espesh in a small town more than i already imagined. Three hours i shall never get back, complete toss. I would have done as well watching a complete version of fucking Aida. It has a few good scenes but not enough to shake the tedium i felt throughout the whole film.

It may have been good then or for a while after, now it feels dated as other films show what it does just as well in a context more relevant to me i.e. Iraq/Afghanistan etc.
WUM got to be

WUM got to be
Thank God I'm not alone.

It's a fucking masterpiece.

And John Cazale's last film. He died of cancer before it was finished.
He was only in 5 films:
The Godfather (1972),
The Conversation, The Godfather Part II (both 1974)
Dog Day Afternoon (1975)
The Deer Hunter (1978)

Does any other actor in history have a 100% record like that?
