Last Film You Saw

Manchester by the sea. Great acting but not quite as good a film as I expected. The use of music was good but in one scene the choice was little to obvious. 7.5/10.

Alien: Covenant.

Really enjoyed this. I know a few have knocked it but I thought it was impressive.
I'd previously liked Prometheus as well so some will say I'm easily pleased lol.
The way the prequel story is progressed in this film and the revelationary way it does it has been well thought out.

There will never be an Alien film as suspenseful as the first, and it's kind of easy to see the main plot before it happened in this, but it's still a solid film.

8/10

Edit: and Fassbender's performance is absolutely superb.

I'm a bit bored of Scott's repeated folly of not proof reading for a series of films that he's lost the vision of. The latest storytelling has RS trying to convince the audience of how things started without a why. It's tiresome and he should really change things up to add to his "visual effects only" interests.

I could happily ignore the rest of the proposed sequels from now on.

Anyone watched Baby Driver? Getting rave reviews but I don't trust them after they tricked me into watching Birdman

The Circle.
Croc of shite.
Why the fuck did the great Tom Hanks sign up for this tripe, is he skint!!?

Next one was My Name is Lenny.
Decent film once it gets going although the lad who plays Lenny looks a bit like Fred West on a mix of steroids and wizz.
I thought the same of hanks in that his worst performance ever but what do expect from a Netflix production haha

I thought it was good, not the ultimate film people are on about, I liked how the music was integrated into the film and the driving stunts are very good, I liked the Cornetto trilogy by Rice but I turned off Scott Pilgrim, so this is somewhere in between, I'll watch this again at home for the great soundtrack and it should sound brilliant on my new system when it's done.

Just started 'Free Fire' it is set up for a proper good film imo, it certainly has a Smokin Aces feel to it so far (20min). If it carries on like this it will be the cult film of the year no worries at all.

As of 20min in i heavily advise you to watch this film, and no it is not because i love the genre, well i do but that's not the point damn it! xD
