Last Film You Saw

Elf, as my daughter wanted to watch a Christmas film - 3/10 absolutely bobbins.

That and all the singing.

I avoided that musical for the reason of all the singing. I mean who cuts about bursting into song at the drop of a hat when a few sentences would suffice.

Apart from Oliver and Scrooge with Albert Finney, I find it highly offensive. Everybody knows the victorians burst into song regularly, especially the working classes to take the edge off scurvy. Fact!

Creed 2 - more of the same but worth a watch

The Old Man & The Gun - gentle homage for Robert Redford to bow out on with nice work from Sissy Spaceck and (always brilliant) Casey Affleck

You should have made her watch the best Christmas film then

V for Vendetta - didn't think I'd like it after the first 1/2-hour or so - but Portman carried the film; a brilliant performance; one of my favorite in the comic fiction genre.
