Last Film You Saw

Watched 2 films this evening -
Bram Stokers Dracula - just can’t get my head around the fact that the man who directed Godfather 1&2 also directed this. Everybody is either seriously overacting (Anthony Hopkins and Winona Ryder) or just plain wooden as fuck (Keanu Reeves in possibly his worst ever role).

Then we watched Legion - Paul Bettany in a sort of biblical battle of humans vs Heaven cos God is sick of us.

Just dreadful stuff!!!

Went to see Gladiator 2. I don't often go to the cinema. My TV and soundbar do the same thing... so rather just watch it at home. But we fancied a date night.

It was alright, some of it was really good. But then they brought in mutated monkeys, flooded he colisseum and filled it with sharks and stuff and I just thought "ffs".

Solid 6/10, probably wouldn't watch it again. But i won't slam it to death.

I do love Pedro Pascal too.

Spoiler alert..

Just trying to watch Babylon. Again. Honest opinion; it's a bit of a mess. Meandering all over the place. Even the goddess that is Margot Robbie can't really save it. I can only assume the paycheques to the like of Robbie and Brad Pitt were as persuasive as the script.

There was a script, yeah?

It's an extremely poor film that seems like it left its best ideas on the cutting room floor.

Alien: Romulus

After the rave reviews I can’t help but feel a bit underwhelmed.

Andy aside, I didn’t care for any of the characters and the pacing felt off to me.

It might well be the third best instalment in the series but that’s not saying a whole lot.

Also seen Gladiator 2 today, said the same to my Mrs about the sharks, thought Denzel was brilliant in it and the lead guy for me just didn’t have the presence of Russel Crowe. 6/10
