Last Film You Saw

Watched Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning last night. All seemed very plausible apart from the president of the US being a black woman

They've had a manikin pretending to be a human so everything's possible if sleepy Joe got his shot, not that he'd remember much of it.

Cue snazzy music and tape self destroying after 5 4 3 2 1

This week I’ve watched Silence of the Lambs, Dirty Harry and Rambo all great films and this years so called big blockbusters cannot hold a candle to them. The film industry is absolutely rubbish don’t think I’ve seen a 9/10 in years.

Excellent summary but can’t believe you’ve omitted Sinners.
Damn i forgot that one! Started watching it a few weeks ago got half-way through, need to finish it. Will do another round-up end of year after i've watched Together, the latest Conjuring and so on...

Jurassic World: Rebirth? This one should have been killed at birth. Terrible on so many levels - awful contrived plot, weak acting, characters you don't give a f**k about, crappy CGI. I'm probably not the target audience though, I expect my kids will love it.

Rewatched Sinners after watching it for the first time a month ago. It has a hell of a lot of power. The damned souls of the vampires are less monstrous than the insidious evil of racism.

It has many great performances in it and asks questions about belonging and love. The soundtrack is amazing too.

Didn't realise that the person in a cameo was Buddy Guy a Chicago Blues legend. I think this'll be a future classic.

Friendship. Paul Rudd is in it. It's absolutely bonkers, some actual side splitting funny scenes in it, wont be everyone's cup of tea but a 9/10 from me

I thought it was tripe personally, think the horror genre has had a stinker of a year so far

Final Destination: Bloodlines.

Best of the lot. First one was decent. Next three, all the same.

Quite enjoyed this one.
I watched this last night. Quite different from the 1st one which was the best by far for me. Where death followed around like an actual evil spectre in the first one I felt like it was more Beadles About in this one. Still quite enjoyed it though! 5/10.

I thought it was done quite well with how the previous films and family were brought into the story.

Could pick holes in it all day, but I don't bother with that. It was an enjoyable afternoon watch.

Last one I watched at the pictures was gangs of New York. Watched one at the house last night that was mind numbingly stupid (but appropriate as I was knackered) called fountain of youth. Perfect to fall asleep to.

Believe it or not I watched Inglorious Bastards all the way through for the first time yesterday. I hadn't realised it was so funny. Brad Pritt's Italian accent was so good.

I like it but I also find it quite annoying, there are some great moments of tension ruined by moments of comedic nonsense.

Its like watching 2 films, if Tarantino had continued with the tone of the great opening it would have been a truly brilliant film.

It wasn't my favourite of his. The opening 'chapter' is the best by far. Christoph Walz as good as ever. Brad Pitt was very very wooden. I had avoided it because the initial reviews I read way back were very poor but its the only film of his I hadn't seen...
I was confused as to what it tried to be. Comedy? Not funny enough. Revenge porn? maybe but clumsy and leading to what must be the most outrageous rewriting of one of the most pivotal episodes in modern history. It sagged in places and some scenes were done to death (the bar scene with German soldiers playing cards). Its taken a few days of mulling it around for me to decide I was pretty disappointed with it.
