KANT IS SO BORING

BORING PHILOSOPHY REVISION

FUCKING BORING.

Re: Last person post gets £20!!

Kant also disgards emotion. It seems vital to human that emotion is a part of our lives. We feel very strongly when someone is a generous or kind person over hard-hearted. However, Kants moral theory means that this is taken away. It would seem that being moral would lose all context in this ‘robotic’ theory. Kant seems to find emotion as an obsticle to genuine moral action, clouding judgment. Furthermore, when we want to do something and when we have a duty, for example a begger asking for money, it is sometimes unclear what has caused us to give the money. Yet if you did not wish to give the money but did so because of categorical imperitives your moral but is this equal to wanting to give it? Kants idea of a robotic morality seems less attractive and powerful as a human one currently.
