Don't care what anyone says, we've weakened and that's not good.
We've no longer got a midfield, we have Natastic who is good in defence and is better than Savic, but should never be playing in games like last night.
All season we've been run over time and time again, Arsenal and QPR played with no width and both of them turned us over down the centre. Even Southampton...
The persistent changing of formation leaves the players not understanding what to do. Last night is what the season has been like all season, and soon were gonna get a spanking and we won't get away with it.
Sold De Jong, should of offered him more and not bought anyone. THE BEST player in the world for that position, and last night is our downfall. It's a disgrace we sold him, and i said he would be the difference in the CL.
Won't speak about Mancini, last night was embarrasing and the tactics and subs were baffling. He's learnt absolutely fuck all from last season, under Mancini we'll never progress in Europe. That was the exact reason Inter Milan sacked him.
Every game the players don't know what to play or where, no consistency in the side. No partnerships being created. We look like 11 new players, who just met each other for the first time before Kick-off.
I believe not one of our signings this summer, was even on Mancini's wishlist, he's panic bought with a few and his signings can't play the formation he uses. Drop the 3-5-2 bollocks, no manager will win anything in Europe or the England playing that formation for as long as i live. The last 25 minutes last night was a disgrace, it was like Stuart Pearce in 2006. Yaya Toure lumped it forward 8 times in 15 minutes, enough said.
I don't mind if we struggle and at least compete in the Champions League. But were not, we've gone BACKWARDS which is worrying. That's down to management...
I don't think we have weakened the squad as such its more the way the current side is playing this season.
You could argue about NDJ Vs Garcia and Rodwell or AJ Vs Sinclair but players move on and NDJ was at the age where he needed more game time for the remainder of his career at the top level.
At Milan its likely he will play in every chumps league game and is a starter in Serie A which he would not have been this season with us.
Part of him wanted to stay if all reports about his value in the dressing room and off the field role in terms of popularity are correct which he enjoyed but he wasn't big in RM's plans and Mancini obviously wanted a player he knew better and thought could add more value to the role to replace him which you could argue didn't eventuate but you have to give the " replacements " some time.
As for AJ again he wanted to start every game and felt he needed to if he was to have any chance to play a part in Englands next world cup assault which is fair enough as he probably won't feature at all in the 2018 campaign.
He is north east born and bred and Sunderland is a dream fit for him although he knows chumps league football is no longer within reach for him he realises his limitations.
Again the squad is no worse as such and one could argue a fit Tevez and motivated Tevez is like a new player of some class even though I think he is past his best now.
Its the form of key players some injuries to players and a mumber of other factors some of which lie right at the feet of RM that have seen us dominated at home for the first time in a while.
Nobody would expect us to go 18-1 -0 at home again this season and we won't.
We will lose games at home this season and probably won't get past the first stage of the chumps league again but some of the players like Aquerro have a full season in the premiership under their belts now and loss of form is temporary and all players suffer from it.
All that matters is whether we collect more points than 19 others over 38 games.
I have some serious concerns about our hunger and drive to do so but its early days and if we are all agreed that we are well below our best performances its encouraging to think how things will go when we click.
I would be more concerned if it was obvious the players cannot and will not improve on what they have to date.
It would appear the gap will close this year to the next lot but that makes it all the more challenging to see how we respond to the fact sides will play us differently especially at home and we need to reinvent the way to better combat that as we have seen with Arsenal and Dortmund particularly and even Southampton and QPR to some degree.
No walk in the parks for us this year home or away and we need to have the mindset to grind out wins.
I am concerned that we cannot keep a clean sheet and we need to rectify this ASAP.
