ok,
a guy on 606 says he was told by a city scout that the "virtually done deal" was buffon. he desnt know if that info is reliable though. i wonder who the done deal is if its not obvious......really hope its benzema.

assuming this is indeed coming from the Valencia legal team, it suggests that a deal is agreed in principle not that everything is necessarily signed on the dotted line. that would explain why the agent is covering his hindquarters for instance.
it seems like a sensible deal for all involved and i don't doubt some serious negotiating has happened. from what i understand the 40MM Valencia found down the back of the sofa is a bit short of the 100MM they need to 'save' the club, so it seems a plausible deal. i doubt they'd get that much from Real for Silva (can we have him too btw).
if Villa's not on the team sheet it would seem to indicate a done deal (or an injury, we can't be 100 percent sure). however, it would not rule out a deal in progress.

C_T_I_D is our greatest of ITK types. all 7000 of his posts have an element of itk to them. He posts in riddles most of the time, you just have to work them out. I sense Podolski.
