The comments on this messageboard calling for the managers head, slating all our new signings. The only people you need to slate is the referee for his inept performance and denying us a stonewall penalty and a mixture of Joe Hart and Kolo Toure for their cock-up, nothing more, nothing less.

We should batter teams like Blackburn, but so many of our fans simply expect for teams like them to roll over and die. Why? They came and they done what they needed to do to get a result.

Spurs drew, the rags drew and I'm sure they're not in meltdown and they don't want twitcher and whiskey noses head on a stick. Too many "burn the witch" posters on here and when there's a negative to be found, they're sure to find it.

The old City would have lost that game. We drew and were unlucky not to win. Sometimes it just doesn't go for you. That's football.

the fact the rags and spunks drew makes it even worse, we were just not positive enough, we started with a terrible 11, then got worse.

I can't see where you get that from, we had enough chances to win 3 matches but failed to finish them off. It happens, unfortunately. The only criticism I'd make of Mancini today is that Silva should have been on earlier for Milner who I thought had a mediocre match.

What an absolute laughable piece of shit-is that your idea of constructive criticism?

you have to have an idea what your talking about mate before you open your trap-he had nothing like his ideal strongest team out for one, have you seen the stats for possesion and goal attempts and corners?

Stick yo FM mate-more your level

I think your reply is laughable....at least his was constructive and spot on.....i guess it's easy to hide behind an internet forum whilst slagging people off who don't agree with what the manager is doing.....anyone with an ounce of footballing intelligence can see Mancini is doing things wrong......Silva PROVED that in his 7 minute cameo spell.........amen

Oh dear

i second this.....ive played and coached footabll for a long time now and while im no professional manager i can see what we are doing wrong and what needs to change.....therefore RM must also see it.....He is being stubborn at best, nieve at worst.....we talk about players taking ime to adapt to the premiership.....but i believe RM is having a real problem with it as well

Fella we created enough chances to win 3 games

we did create a few chances today but for long periods of the game there was just no thrust to our attacking play....we play too slowly

Why should they change their mind? We are playing not defensivly but CAUTIOUSLY....that's Mancini's mindset - not to lose....fine if it works but it isn't....this is my main point. If Mancini set us up not to lose and we won 8/10 games 1-0 then i'd be happy - I don't need 5-0 every week......had that under Macin for a while - but his cautious approach isn't getting it's desired result and that is what MY problem is ......and it's been happening since he came.........

Think you'll find that that is the mindset of every top, young coach in the world. Mourinho got slagged off for the same, despite winning leagues as he did it.
Guadiola? Riijkard? not defensive....and Mancini isn't exactly in his infancy as a coach..Mourinho is cautious admittedly but jeez...he gets results on an alarmingly consistent basis....he's a winning machine......

Apart from when he plays Blackburn, where he gets beat 1-0?

Also, Mancini is 45, which may as well be a twenty something in coaching years. He spent his teenage years winning leagues and cups.

Guardiola is playing the Barcelona way, NOT the Guardiola way. He hasn't changed a single thing.

Rijkaard you absolutely have a point on, and you're correct in saying that he doesn't play this way. Think I probably overstretched the example, it's fair to say that many coaches play the Mancini way though.

We lost last weeks game because Tevez missed a fookin sitter and Richards - well did a Richards

This week Hart and Toure fook up and despite more fookin shots at goal than just about any game i have seen recently people still blame the manager

Responsability starts with the players who were more than good enough to win today - double shooting practice for the fookin lot of em me thinks

Roberto Mancini's record as Manchester City manager

Played: 33
Won: 17
Drew: 8
Lost: 8

Get behind the manager for fucking once instead of baying for blood at the slightest sign of turbulence, and we might actually be successful.

Hardly a tactical fault of the manager then if the players cant put away gilt edged chances

Your anti Mancini agenda is embarrassing
If you are embarassed then I apologise for your chronic lack of self-esteem my friend.....My constructive criticism of the situation is not embarassing however.....I do not have an 'anti-Mancini' agenda.......that's a purile and lazy response...........I back any and every manager BUT i don't sit back and gloss over obvious failings which happen too frequently to ignore.......I would love Mancini to prove me wrong and even though I was suprised he was retained after last season I got behind him and started the season with my usual enthusiasm.....BUT the same failings are there with his tactics....this is Fact i'm afraid and believe me - I wish to God it wasn't...............

A disappointing result, but the game was going quite well with some thrilling wing play, and then we gave away a stupid goal. That was the key moment in the 1st half.

Yes, we still had time to win it, but moments like that change games, and beyond the managers control. I gave us a hill to climb that was too big for a team that was badly affected by injury.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but nevertheless as CTID said some are laughable

This "not positive enough", "too negative" comment comes out every time there is a bad result.

Doesn't always describe reality. City created a large number of chances and the blame should go on Robinson (credit I guess) and the finishing.

Some of these comments, you'd think we just saw a repeat of the match at Spurs.

Yes many coaches do, but they don't have our owners' cash to pick off the cream of European players....if we were on a budget then fair play but we aren't....think about it....when we signed silva didn't we all think of a more attacking style with flair and vision? and Yaya...for his thrust along with Milner? Yet is simply isn't happening...but even though I am extremely sceptical about Mancini I wil never boo him at games...but surerl I am entitled to point out what to my mind and many other City fans what is going wrong......
