A general election is called about 8 hours after polling finishes.

These elections? We’ll sleep on them and count them in the morning, very slowly. Guess they get paid by the hour. Maybe working to rule.

To be fair Gtr London is much bigger than a single constituency AND there will be special Covid measures they are taking

Just spent a few mins scrolling his twitter timeline, he actually used tge words "landslide victory" in his pinned tweet. Even as self-absorbed as he is, I don't think he is that out of touch.

Hopefully we never see him as an actor again and he has to take his dwindling grift act on the road for eternity to the point he becomes the next piers corbyn.

Question is what next? He wasn't the disruptive candidate his backers hoped for. The contest wasn't close enough for him to affect its outcome. He has been derided and looks a fool and his actions have effectively ended his acting career - who would cast him now? If his backers pull the plug he basically has to become that Piers Corbyn figure you reference but is there money in that? He can't become a pub singer coz he can't sing and he can't do festivals as I don't recall seeing leaflets for any right wing nut job tents at Glasto - I expect he will turn up saying his head was turned accidentally in a time national crisis and asking for forgiveness.
