I certainly hope we don't completely reload. The game against Villareal is the game we have to win. Put a team out that should handle wolves and make sure we have our very best completely fit for midweek.
Correct. The same starting XI as per last night please, with the big guns on the bench. Or else, start with Balo and Kun with Merlin pulling the strings, get two up at half time and pull them off (Oo-err Missus). We need our strongest team out and fresh next wednesday.
Not sure about this can't see us winning Champions league TBH but can see us winning premier league so strongest XI in this one till its won never under estimate anybody in league it could be a big mistake,a bird in the hand and all that.

Short term thinking. One of the problems this year is our weak European record that got us in pot three for the CL draw. We need to be in pot 2 or 1 next year. I agree we probably won't win the whole thing but getting out of the groups in our first year is a big step. It means more money, a better european ranking and it will make us that much more of a desirable destination for future players.

I agree that wolves should not be treated lightly, but if we want to play with the big boys we need to show that we are a CL team. Our first two games put us in a big hole and we need to dig out of it.

Winning the premier league would be the step that puts us in with the big boys, don't get me wrong i want to see us go as far as possible in champs league but i can't see us winning the cup as yet but i can see us winning prem for me thats got to be first and foremost this season, that said we should be good enough to beat both Wolves on Saturday and Villarreal on Wednesday

I agree we should be able to win both. I personally would take the small risk of not getting 3 points from wolves if it means getting 3 from Villareal. Ultimately a successful season for me is winning the league and advancing out of the group stages. I want both and I think both are in reach. bottom line though, we can drop points this weekend and still win the league. If we drop points mid week we are done in the CL.

what a shame.we have more expectation in europ than premier league.that really has put pressure upon us in cl games.
we do good in pl games because we do not have pressure to win the pl

I think most of us (whether we want to admit it or not) think that we are going to win the league, even though we haven't played any of the big sides yet. The champs league is something else, we have no experience there so we are more worried about it.

6-2 City. This club can't keep a clean sheet for some reason. But once Wolves start to push forward we will open them up. Mm is a great manager but his team packed 10 against Swansea and still were opened up.
Yep we're bleedin hopeless defensively only kept 4 clean sheets in league so far and we've played 9 games absolute shite that is, teams are just tearing us to pieces at the moment god knows how were 5 points clear for 33 against 7. Mancini better shape the team up or its the p45.

And out of our home games this season we have been appalling, one goal conceded in four. Must do better!

nothing less than a dozen with a clean sheet will do for me on saturday. we need to erase the terrible memory of that embarassing goal that 'uddersfeeled scored in the 10-1. only then will we be able to call this a truly great team.

Funnily enough Wolves were the last team to score more than 1 goal against us at home in the PL with ou 4-3 win back in Feb.

Since then PL home form has been epic...

P13 W12 D1 L0

Clean sheets 10
Goals scored 32
Goals against 3

Scores look good:

3-0
1-1
1-0
5-0
1-0
2-1
1-0
3-0
2-0
4-0
3-0
2-0
4-1

Now i would happily take a 1-0 but our 2nd eleven plus 4 youngsters put them to the sword in midweek. Fair enough it was also a fairly 2nd string team for them as well but really with are passing and movement and Wolves putting the NASA space shuttle on the goal line we should at least not concede so i would like 7-0

LOL

Generally we have defended well all season but we keep having momentary lapses of concentration and conceding needless goals.

I expect the same on Saturday. Confidences are so high, we are bound to be over-enthusiastic and not totally disciplined. They might park the bus, but we will be full on attack for 93 minutes, so I expect us to score a few.

So it's another 5-2 for me.
