LAZY ATTITUDE, THE PLAYERS ARE TO BLAME

I think Hughes would be the first to defend his players, and often does.

He's not one of those managers who after a defeat shouts and bawls at the players lack of commitment etc

There is no split

"Elano's performances levels have not been up to scratch, so I've left him at home," Hughes told The Sun.

LOL!

so the players stop performing because of the manager, and us fans suffer as a result.Players are definitely to blame. Our defence was a shambles at WBA.2 v 2 for their goal. And dont get me started on Hart. Was to blame for both goals.Should have stayed on his line instead of no mans land.

oh and Better to remain silent and appear a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt

Ths "bigger picture" as you put it-is that no amount of "hard running" and " high impact" training is going to help the fact that you've stubbornly played Richards at LB,SWP at centre-mid,Gelson at RB,totally alienated one of the most talented players in the squad, taken the best right-back in the league and turned him into a joke CB......the list could go on.....
Yes-the players have made individual mistakes. But the way they've been "man managed" and deployed quite often this season has been a complete joke.
But as you want to go down with the Hughes ship-fair enough.I don't.
I just know that we have problems that no amount of running and hard training will solve. And MH has shown no signs of finding the answers.

That was Sven who put him there

So, lets talk about character.

What about the chracter of a man who constantly passes the buck. Constantly blames others for his faults. Constantly hints that the players are a bunch of bastards in order to somehow get out of a manager's responsibility for gaining anything even close to acceptable results. Constantly has blamed refs, linesmen and anyone else he can think of for any defeat during his management career. Constantly refuses to acknowledge his responsibility for pathetic, pathetic results.

And now he seems to be conducting a snide campaign through the media, designed at discrediting the players, deflecting attention away from him, saving his own skin and basically making excuses for the complete and utter breakdown in spirit and morale within the camp.

The buck stops with the manager.

He constantly embarrassed himself at Blackburn by moaning, bleating and cheating and now he seems to be doing it on a snider level.

Well, guess what mate. If the players refuse to perform for you and aren't interested then that's not an excuse. That's your fault. It's your responsibility as a manager not to let that situation develop.

If that's the case then you might as well go now as you obviously lack one of the basic skills of management - getting players to perform for you.

If its not the case then you had better go anyway as there is even less excuse for the shocking results and performances.

The buck stops with you, pal.

And now the idiot has totally eroded any profit we would get on him and reduced his resale value to virtually nothing.

The quote you've highlighted was about Elano. We need ALL our players-especially the ones who can turn a game. The skill is to know how to use and manage them.MH does not appear to posess those skills.
And yes-Sven did put Richards at CB.The point is he looked ten times the player he does now.

So why is that?[/quote]

Because hes more interested in how he looks, than how he play's this started since he put on the three lions!

I was at West Brom on Sunday.

The sight of our captain stood in his own half, during a break in play, 1-0 down, hands on his hips, doing absoloutely NOTHING to rally the troops speaks volumes about the lack of leadership at our club.

The silence from our captain was deafening.

The only player who showed any heart for the fight was Vincent Kompany.

Give him the captaincy.
