On a day when everybody went goal grazy we thought we'd have some of that too.

After 5 tough opening fixtures today's game against Forest Green Rovers had banana skin all over it.

Luckily we were up for it and were 2-0 inside 20 mins, and 4-0 up at HT whch could have been 5 as we hit the post just before he blew up.

2nd half we took our foot off the gas and the game finished 5-0, it had a pre-season friendly feel about it, and FGR were like rabbits in the headlights. We won't get many days like this.

Elsewhere good wins for Pompey @ Port Vale putting them top of the league, Plymouth at home to Bolton, Mk Dons @ Morcambe and Derby who were losing 0-1 at home to Posh (who were down to 10 men) in the 87th min only to score 88 & 92 to win 2-1.

Burton were winning 3 times at Cambridge and ended up losing 4-3, they played with 10 men from the 10th min too, they just can't stop conceding goals, they were winning 2-4 @ Accrington a few weeks ago with less than 10 to go and ended up drawing 4-4

Hope Wednesday come up this year I really do preferably automatically. Decent crowd again today. Hopefully back in the premier league one day soon Keep believing if smaller clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford can do it then you can

Thanks m8,

Even if we do come up this year, jumping up to the PL seems a million miles away, we had our best chance in 2016-17 losing to Huddersfield Town in the semis, we went 1-0 up in the 2nd leg and should have pushed on to win the game. Instead we sat with what we had and ended up losing on pens.

Since then the money we chucked at it that season bit us in the arse with FFP, this led to selling the stadium to the owner, transfer embargos, points deduction and ultimately relegation.

I always say the Summer 2016/Winter 2017 transfer windows set the club back 10 years, especially signing Jordan Rhodes.

:) all joking aside bringing 3355 for a tinpot trophy just shows what brilliant supporters Wednesday really are
I didn't go last night as I have a self imposed ban on the competition (i don't agree with the current format) but the lad watched it and it sounded like it all went downhill when we kicked off, and you were far the better team.

Personally I hope you beat Leicester U21's next and we don't beat Burton at home, as that means we will be out :)

Hopefully now you can kick on in the league.

P*ss poor today, thought 0-2 flattered us.

Barnsley did their home work and nulified our wing backs, after that we struggled to break them down, just lots of left to right across the back 3.

They fully deserved the win, could have been worse as we tried our hardest to give them a goal by passing straight to them when playing out from the back.

Tough game next week @ Plymouth, they are strong at home and will be on their uppers after today's result 2-0 down HT @ Derby to win 2-3 with a 90th min winner.

Ipswich & Pompey look like the front runners at the minute both winning today, Plymouth up to 3rd and us in 4th.

Good wins for Bolton, Cambridge, Exeter & Shrewsbury.

Out of the 3 promoted teams Forest Green look to be struggling and based on last week performance think they may go straight back down.

Hasselbaink can’t have long left at Burton

I agree, be interesting if he's the studio guest for Sky tomorrow.

I'd be p*ssed off as a Burton fan is you're bottom of the league and the manager is on TV telling PL players/managers where they are going wrong.

Maybe he needs to listen to himself and do the same at Burton.

Saw the Walsall team bus on the M1 near Wakefield yesterday when we were going to the game, it was 12:50pm which i thought was late for an away team getting to a game, so did fancy you.
