Disappointed to only get a point in the end, we should havewrapped the game up by HT instead they scored early in 2nd and it became a game.

With Plymouth only drawing after being 0-2 up at least we are no further away.

Nice evening down in Devon, I see! Lashing down, and blowing a gale. That's normally the sort of weather we get over here. Local Derby game between Plymouth and Exeter. 4-2 to Plymouth going into the last few minutes.

Plymouth look the real deal at the minute, we're currently running at 2 points per game which normally is promotion form, but Argyle are 2.4 a game which would break the league record if they carry on.

Read a couple of interesting stats this morning though, one being despite being top their keeper (Cooper) is the 2nd busiest in the league, which you don't normally find as it teams at the other end of the table.

Hopefully we can stay close to them and Ipswich incase they slip up.

Tight league and whilst Plymouth have managed to win a few more, they've got the same goal difference so suggests they won't run away with it. You've only lost one more than them so in decent form, just need to keep plugging away. Portsmouth should climb the table too. I reckon Ipswich will fall away at some point.

I do worry about Derby bizarrely enough, maybe not for top 2 but the playoffs

Not because of their squad (as injuries to the older members could take it's toll over the winter) but I think Paul Warne is a good appointment at this level.

Cornwall and the South-West of England get more than their fair share of storms, probably after they’ve battered your neck of the woods.

Generally, that wouldn't be the track they take after leaving this locale. They usually track more in an E/ENE/NE direction, so going across Northern Ireland, clipping the Isle of Man and on towards Cumbria and Scotland. The ones that Cornwall get would normally have tracked along the South Coast here (Kerry, Cork Waterford and Wexford).

Here endeth today's geography lesson!

@West Yorks Owl should be a happy camper tonight. 1-0 win against Shrewsbury this afternoon. 3rd in the table, one point behind Ipswich and nine ahead of Peterborough.
@ 2:59pm last Saturday we were 7 points behind Plymouth a week later and that's been reduced to 3.

Didn't play well today and Shrewsbury in the 2nd half had several chances just go past the post, last season we would have drawn/lost that game. They will be disappointed they didn't get anything out of it

Take 3 points when playing badly though.

Although we've not played each other that often it's the first time we've ever beaten Salop at home and onl the 2nd time out of 19.

Excuse my ignorance here; are leagues 1 & 2 continuing through this nonsense in Qatar?

@West Yorks Owl , although we've had a shit turnout ourselves v Mansfield in the past (hmm), that was a bit poor today - less than 14k, when Mansfield brought 4k of those.

I agree m8, but I think like anything it is where the competition is at the minute.

We made 8 changes from the previous league game, granted they were 1st team players coming in but I think fans (of most clubs) are just interested in the league nowadays unless you get a big fish or into the latter stages.

I am a season ticket holder and I haven't been to any of our home games in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup or Papa John's Trophy (although that is for different reasons) this season.

Sorry for looking like a weirdo (well more than normal :) replying to myself, but this backs up my point that as poor attendance as ours was, it was the highest in Round 2

Gonna take a look at the Port Vale vs Peterborough game (fuck all else on). GPC jnr now in his fourth stint as Peterborough manager. Has any other person had 4 spells in charge of the same club (not counting caretaker periods)?

Has any other person had such a bullying, influential wanker as a father?
